Tips for keeping your flowers fresh...

Here are some practical tips for keeping your cut flowers fresh and vibrant for as long as possible:

Before Placing in Water

1. Trim the Stems: Use sharp scissors or a knife to cut about 1-2 inches off the stems at a 45-degree angle. This increases surface area for water absorption. (You can change your water and cut your stems a second time after about to week to keep your flowers fresh for longer)

2. Remove Lower Leaves: Strip off any leaves that will sit below the waterline to prevent decay and bacteria growth.

3. Use Clean Tools: Ensure scissors, knives, and vases are clean to avoid contaminating the water with bacteria.

Choosing the Right Vase and Water

4. Clean Your Vase: Use a clean vase with no residue or dirt, as cleanliness extends flower life.

5. Add Floral Preservative: Use the packet that comes with your flowers

6. Use Room Temperature Water: Most flowers prefer lukewarm water
